About

Practical Experience.

Quality Workmanship.

Personal Service.

Welcome to brushandbuild.ca, an owner-operated home improvement and

renovation company serving Ottawa and surrounding communities.

With more than 20 years of hands-on experience in construction, home

improvement, and skilled trades education, I bring a practical, detail-oriented

approach to every project. Whether it's a small repair, a room that needs a fresh

coat of paint, or a larger renovation, my goal is simple: do the job properly,

communicate clearly, and leave you with work you can be proud of.

of your home.

• Carpentry & Flooring

• Century Home & Older Home Work

Experience working with older homes where preserving existing character while improving

functionality requires a thoughtful approach.

• Exterior Projects

Decks, fences, exterior repairs, roofing, and other projects that help protect and improve your home.

• Snow & Ice Management

Seasonal snow plowing, walkway clearing, salting, and other winter maintenance services for

residential and commercial properties.

Experience You Can Trust

Before establishing the business in Ottawa, I spent years working in construction and home

improvement in New Brunswick. My experience has also given me a strong background in

teaching skilled trades and working with students in hands-on construction environments as a

high school teacher.

That combination of practical experience and teaching has shaped the way I approach my work:

measure carefully, plan properly, understand how things go together, and take pride in the finished

product.

I believe homeowners should be able to deal directly with the person responsible for their project.

That's why brushandbuild.ca focuses on personal service, straightforward communication, and

quality workmanship.

From Small Repairs to Larger Projects

Not every project needs a large renovation company. Sometimes you simply need a door installed,

drywall repaired, flooring replaced, a fence repaired, or a room painted.

Small jobs are welcome.

Whether you're looking for a few repairs around the house or planning a larger renovation, I'm happy

to discuss your project and determine how I can help.
